# DATEV Export

With the **DATEV Export** you prepare your income and expenses recorded in Immodio for your **tax advisor**.

Immodio works in the background with the **DATEV Rental and Leasing Industry Package (V+V)**. This prepares your bookings in such a way that your tax advisor can process them as easily as possible and finalize the accounting.

For you as a landlord, this means that you do not have to have any accounting knowledge and do not have to take care of DATEV accounts, cost centers or other accounting assignments yourself. Immodio takes care of this preparation **automatically in the background.**

<summary><strong>Why does the DATEV export exist?</strong></summary>

When you enter income and expenses in Immodio, you only select a suitable **category** when posting under **Income and expenses**.

Based on this category, Immodio assigns the booking to the appropriate DATEV account in the background. To do this, Immodio uses the DATEV chart of accounts of the V+V industry package and supplements it with its own intelligent assignment.

In this way, a structured accounting basis is created step by step, without you having to work with DATEV or accounting accounts yourself.

In the end, all you have to do is create the **DATEV Export** and pass on the generated file to your tax advisor.

> You enter your income and expenses in Immodio as usual. Immodio prepares the data for DATEV in the background. Your tax advisor can then continue working with the exported data.

The DATEV export **considerably** reduces the effort involved in working with your tax advisor.

Instead of manually preparing receipts, tables and postings, you enter your income and expenses directly in Immodio. Immodio ensures that this data is prepared in the background to suit DATEV.

This allows your tax advisor to continue working faster and in a more structured manner. This saves time, reduces queries and makes ongoing accounting much easier.

#### Start DATEV export

#### **Navigation to "Income and Expenses"**

Open the **"Income and Expenses"** section in the main menu and then click on the **"DATEV Export"** button.

#### Selection of owner and year

A dialog opens in which you can prepare the export. Select the appropriate owner and the year for which the export to your tax advisor should be created.

**Restriction**

Postings that require an assignment to partners (e.g. private income, private withdrawals in partnerships) are not yet supported. This feature is expected to be available **starting in August 2026**.

By clicking on **"Export"**, Immodio generates the complete DATEV export for your tax advisor in the background. A **ZIP file** will then be automatically created containing the prepared export data.

#### Pass on export file to tax advisor

Forward this ZIP file to your accountant.

If possible, **don't** manually open and edit the CSV files before handing them over to your accountant. Tabular programs can change formatting, which can make the import more difficult for your tax advisor.
