Properties

Under Properties, you can view your properties centrally and create new properties and units.

• Create properties for entire buildings and units for lettable accommodation.

• Create a parent property before creating a unit.

• For a detached house, create the property first, then a lettable unit.

Property

A property always represents the entire building, such as:

• An entire apartment building.

• An entire detached house.

It provides the parent structure for fundamental property information, including the property address.

Unit

A unit is an individual lettable space within a property, such as:

• An individual flat in an apartment building.

• Living space in a detached house.

• A self-contained flat in a two-family house.

Process

1. Create a property.

   • Under Properties, create the parent property, such as an apartment building.

   • Enter and save all relevant property data.

2. Create units.

   • Select the created property.

   • Select + Create unit.

Inheritance of basic data and equipment

• Information such as equipment features entered for a property transfers automatically to every unit.

• Record shared basic data and equipment features once only.
