# Defects

Defect management in Immodio enables the structured recording and processing of defects in objects and units. All defects created are automatically transferred to the digital Immodio handover protocol. In addition, further defects can be created and documented directly during the handover.

{% hint style="info" %}
Defect management in objects and units is available from the "Standard" rate.

Instructions on how to create defects can be found here:

#### All defects

* Under the menu item **"Properties"** you will find the filter **"Show defects"**. There you can view and edit all the defects recorded for your properties managed in Immodio.
* This view is for overview only; new defects cannot be created here. New defects must be created in the respective property or in the corresponding unit in the **"Defects"** tab.

#### Defect view

* Defects can be displayed in Immodio either as a list or as a so-called Kanban board.
* You can use the magnifying glass symbol to search for defects.
* The drop-down lists allow you to filter the defects by your objects and units and see at a glance where a defect exists.

{% hint style="info" %}
The display formats available depend on whether you use Immodio in desktop view or on a mobile device. The Kanban view is only available in the desktop version.
{% endhint %}

**Defect view as a list**

* In the list view, all recorded defects are clearly displayed. Using the **"Open"**, **"In Progress" filters** and **"Fixed"** the display can be filtered by status.
* You can edit the **status** of a defect directly in the defect by first clicking on a defect and clicking on the desired status in the window that opens.
* Subsequent adjustments and additions to information are possible at any time by clicking on a defect.

**Defect view as Kanban board**

The Kanban board provides a visual overview of all recorded defects and their current processing status. Each defect is displayed as its own card and can be dragged and dropped between the **"Open"**, **"In Progress"** and **"Fixed"** columns.

* This view facilitates organization and allows a quick overview of the processing status of all defects.
* By clicking on a defect, it can be edited accordingly.
