# Links (object)

In the **Links** tab, you can link stakeholders to an property. In this way, it is possible to store directly on the property which persons or companies are connected to the property or which perform certain activities for the property.

All participants created in Immodio can be linked to an property.

#### Examples of shortcuts

A link can be e.g. be useful for the following stakeholders:

* a **cleaning service** in charge of cleaning the property or stairwell,
* a **horticultural business** that maintains the green areas of the property,
* a **caretaker** who takes over certain activities on the property,
* a **notary** who notarized the purchase of the property,
* a **craftsman** who regularly carries out work on the property.

In this way, you can see directly in the property which parties are connected to the property.

#### Link stakeholders to the property

To link a stakeholder to the property, do the following:

**Open property**

Open the desired property for which you want to create a link and switch to the "**Shortcuts**" tab.

**Connect stakeholders**

Click on the "Link Participants" button.

A list of all participants you have stored in Immodio will open. Click on the desired participant you want to link to the property.

When linking a participant, **further information** can be stored. Here you can e.g. describe why the participant is linked to the property or what he or she does for the property.

This information is stored exclusively for the respective link. It is not deposited centrally with the party involved. This means that different information can be stored for the same participant depending on the property.

**Example of a link**

One service provider works for several of your properties:

* In the case of **property A**, the service provider takes care of the **gardening work**.
* In the case of **property B**, the same service provider takes care of the **gutter cleaning**.

The service provider is linked to both properties for this purpose. In the respective link, the corresponding activity is stored as further information, but is not stored centrally in the participant. In this way, the "further information" originally stored in the participant remains centrally stored in the participant, while the property-related activities are documented directly in the respective link.

#### Link tenants to a property

Participants of the **tenant** type can also be linked to a property.

Please note that the assignment of a tenant to a rented unit must usually be done via a **tenancy**. A simple link to the property replaces **no** tenancy.

However, an additional link to the property can be useful if the tenant takes on certain tasks for the property regardless of his tenancy.

For example, a tenant can:

* take over the cleaning of the stairwell,
* carry out minor janitorial activities,
* take care of the garbage cans.

In these cases, the tenant can also be linked to the property and the respective activity can be stored as further information for linking.
