# Create a tenancy agreement

### Ways to create a new tenancy

In Immodio, you basically have two options for creating a new tenancy:

#### 1. Create a tenancy based on the inspection

* After completing a **viewing** and your applicant would like to rent the unit bindingly, the button **"Create tenancy"** will be displayed in the viewing.
* By clicking on it, all relevant data about the unit and the tenant will be automatically transferred when creating the tenancy.
* After payment, the tenancy is created and a draft lease is generated. The tenancy is automatically transferred to the **tenant portal** of your new tenant. There, the tenant can review the design and then **digitally sign**.

#### 2. Create tenancy manually

* Go to the menu item **"Tenancies"** and click on the button **"+ Create Tenancy"**.
* After payment, the tenancy is created and a draft lease is generated. This can be digitally signed on your device by you and your tenant.
* You can then invite your tenant to the **Tenant Portal**, to transfer all documents to your new tenant's tenant portal. There, the tenant can review the design and then **digitally sign**.

### Steps in the Lease Assistant

The Immodio Rental Contract Assistant guides you through all the necessary steps without any prior legal knowledge and at the end creates a legally compliant rental agreement individually adapted to your unit for electronic signature.
