# Contract type

In this step, you select the type of contract for which you want to create a tenancy. Depending on whether you have a **"New tenancy"** or an **"Existing tenancy"** , there are different options available. After you have created a new tenancy, you can generate a legally secure and legally reviewed tenancy agreement at the end of the process and sign it digitally.

* **"New tenancy":** When creating a new tenancy, you will receive an individual and legally secure tenancy agreement from Immodio at the end of the process, as well as all other legally relevant documents for the rental. The costs for this depend on the tariff you have chosen.
* **"Existing tenancy":** Creating existing tenancies in Immodio does not incur any additional costs. You can easily upload existing leases and manage the lease digitally. If you would like to carry out a new lease using an existing lease agreement or managing a contract type that is currently not supported, please select "Existing tenancy" – but the use of the digital signature will not be possible in this case.

In the table below, you can see which types of contracts are currently supported:

{% hint style="info" %}
When you pay for a new tenancy, you will receive all the documents you need for a legally compliant lease: a lawyer-reviewed tenancy agreement, an automatic landlord's confirmation, a brochure on correct heating and ventilation, a legally compliant cancellation policy, individual house rules, an additional agreement for indexed or graduated rents and a data protection policy for tenants.
