The **rental unit** is a [unit](https://help.immodio.app/en-start/guides-group/properties#einheit) (apartment) in Immodio that you would like to rent out

* To create a legally compliant tenancy agreement, it is important that you fill out the information about the rented unit completely and correctly and **read and follow all instructions displayed**.
* For more information, see [**Unit Details**.](https://help.immodio.app/en-start/guides-group/tenancies/create-a-tenancy-agreement/rental-unit/unit-details)
* If your unit is a granny flat, please note the additional information under [**Granny flat**.](https://help.immodio.app/en-start/guides-group/tenancies/create-a-tenancy-agreement/rental-unit/granny-flats)

{% hint style="info" %}
The Immodio shared apartment tenancy agreement is automatically optimized in the background for the unit you are renting out, so that as a landlord you always get the optimal tenancy agreement for your individual units. The better you maintain the available parameters in the units, the more Immodio can optimize the individual tenancy agreement for your unit.
