# Service providers
This page explains how to create a service provider in Immodio and record the relevant master data and documents.
### Definition of service provider
In Immodio a service provider is an external service provider such as a property management company, cleaning service, tradesperson or notary.

If you selected "Manager" or "Estate agent" when registering with Immodio, you are created as a service provider automatically.

## Creating a new service provider

### General
#### Individual
* Enter the person's full first name and surname.
* When creating a service provider, all entries other than the surname or company name are optional.
#### **Company**
* For companies, store the full company name including the legal form (for example Hausrein GmbH).
* When creating a service provider, all entries other than the surname or company name are optional.

### Adding a service
When you create a new party as a service provider, the **"Add further information"** input field lets you record important information about this service provider.
Here you can select a service from existing example categories or define and assign your own individual services.

In properties and units, the **"Links"** area lets you link service providers to a property or unit in order to document clearly which services that party provides there. This keeps it traceable in Immodio who is responsible for which tasks.

## Document upload
In the **"Document upload"** tab you can upload and manage all the relevant paperwork for a service provider.
* You can upload or delete documents at any time.
