# Creating a new heating and hot water statement

## Creating the heating cost statement with Immodio

Choose this option if the heating and hot water statement for the selected property is to be created directly in Immodio.

This makes sense, for example, where no finished statement from an external metering or billing service provider is available, or where you want to allocate the heating and hot water costs to the individual units and tenancies yourself.

### When should this option be chosen?

Choose **"Create the heating cost statement with Immodio"** if:

* no external heating cost statement exists
* the heating cost statement was not produced by a service provider
* an external service provider only supplied consumption values but no complete statement
* you want to allocate the heating costs to the tenants yourself
* a change of tenant was not taken into account correctly in an external heating cost statement
* heating and hot water costs are billed together through a central system
* costs, consumption figures and allocation keys are to be maintained and calculated in Immodio
