# Existing heating cost statement with heating-related entries at property level

This note appears in the [**"Settings"**](/en/anleitung/betriebskostenabrechnungen/einstellungen-fur-die-bka.md) step when you have stated that a heating and hot water statement already exists but heating-related entries nevertheless exist at **property level**. Where a heating and hot water statement already exists, the costs are **not** posted to the property as a whole but directly to the **tenancy**.

Do not, therefore, post these costs to the **unit** or to the **property**, but directly to the relevant **tenancy**. To do so, open the entry concerned and adjust the assignment accordingly.
