{% hint style="warning" %}

User management lets you control who has access to your Immodio account and which areas they may edit. The function is intended, for example, for teams that work together on properties, tenancies, tasks, defects, accounting, documents or other administrative work in Immodio.

In Immodio you find the function in **Settings** in the **User management** tab. There you can invite users, review existing users, adjust roles, deactivate users, reactivate users or mark users for deletion.

{% hint style="info" %}
User management is only available for accounts on the **Premium plan** or **Business plan**.
{% endhint %}

To be able to open user management you need one of the following roles:

| Role | Access to user management |
| ------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| Administrator | Can open user management and **manage** users. |
| Manager | Can open user management and **view** users. |

{% hint style="info" %}
Inviting users, changing roles, deactivating users, activating users and deleting users are **administrative** actions. You need administrator rights for these actions.

## Frequently asked questions about user management

### Why can I not see the User management tab?

The tab is only shown to users with the "**Administrator**" and "**Manager**" roles. In addition, either a **Premium plan** or a **Business plan** has to be in place for the account to include the user management function.

### Why can I not invite a user?

Inviting is an administrative action and is therefore **reserved exclusively for the account administrator**. In addition, there must not already be a user or an open invitation for the same email address in the account. You can find more information about invitations [**here**](/en/anleitung/einstellungen/benutzerverwaltung/neuen-benutzer-einladen.md).

### What do I do if an invitation link has expired?

Create a new invitation and share the new link with the intended person. An invitation link is **valid for 7 days**. You can find more information about invitations [**here**](/en/anleitung/einstellungen/benutzerverwaltung/neuen-benutzer-einladen.md).

### What is the difference between deactivating and deleting?

Deactivating blocks access but the user remains in user management. Deleting marks the user for permanent removal. Permanent deletion takes place after **14 days**. You can find more information about deactivating and deleting [**here**](/en/anleitung/einstellungen/benutzerverwaltung/anderungen-von-berechtigungen.md).

### Can a deletion be undone?

The user is only deleted after a period of 14 days. If the deletion is to be undone within this 14-day period, you have to contact Immodio support at **<kundenservice@immodio.app>**. You can find more information about deletion [**here**](/en/anleitung/einstellungen/benutzerverwaltung/anderungen-von-berechtigungen.md).

### Which role should I give new users?

Start with the smallest role that is sufficient for the task. For viewing only, **Viewer** is usually enough. For active editing without deletion rights, **Editor** makes sense. For comprehensive operational management, **Manager** is suitable. **Administrator** should only be given to people who are responsible for the account and user management.
