# Register as a new user

The account administrator can add new users through an invitation link. Use the email address specified in the invitation.

### Open the invitation link
When they click the link, the new user sees the following window and has to **enter the email address specified by the administrator in the invitation**.
Once the new user has entered their email address, they are asked in the next step to set a personal password and to accept the Immodio terms of use.

Make sure to choose a secure password consisting of a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

The new user can then register with Immodio by clicking "**Register**".

### Confirm the email address
In the next step a confirmation email is sent to the email address given. Open the email and click the confirmation link it contains in order to verify your email address.

If no email has arrived, a new confirmation email can be requested using **"Resend email confirmation"**.

### Registering the new user
Once confirmation is successful, the new user is asked to enter their personal details.
### **Select a role**
Select the new user's user role:
* **Owner** (you own the properties to be managed yourself)
* **Manager** (you manage properties professionally for third parties, for example as an employee of a property management company)
* **Estate agent**

If the new user is to be set up as an employee of a property management company, for example, first select "**Manager**" and then "**Private individual**".

#### **Personal details or company details**
**For individuals:**
* First name
* Surname
* Date of birth
**For companies:**
* Company name
#### **Enter the address**
* Street
* House number
* Postcode
* Town or city
* Country
#### **Store contact details**
* Email
* Landline number **or** mobile number

The new user is then logged in to Immodio directly and their account is linked successfully. The user is now listed as **"Active"** in the administrator's user management.
