# Handover Reports
Under the "Handover reports" menu item you will find an overview of all handover reports created in Immodio and can document apartment handovers digitally.

Creating handover reports in Immodio has been optimised for mobile use on smartphones and tablets.

The digital handover report lets you document your apartment handovers or inspections easily with a smartphone, tablet or laptop. Immodio offers you two different ways to create a handover report:
### A) Creating a handover report from a tenancy
If you create a handover report directly from a tenancy, the data from the tenancy is adopted and the handover report is already pre-filled for you.
1. Go to the **"**[**Tenancies**](/en/anleitung/mietverhaltnisse.md)**"** menu item in the navigation and select the tenancy you want.
2. Within the tenancy, click the **"Documents"** tab. In the **"Handover report"** category, click **"Create handover report".**

If a handover report is created from a tenancy, the signed handover report is automatically shared with the tenant in the [tenant portal](/en/wissen/mieterportal.md) (provided the tenant has access).

### B) Creating an empty report through "Handover reports"
If you create a handover report through the **"**[**Handover reports**](/en/anleitung/ubergabeprotokolle.md)**"** menu item, it is created as an empty handover report. You can then record the data about the unit and the participants yourself.
1. Go to **"Handover reports"** in the navigation.
2. Click **" + Create handover report".**

If a handover report is created through the "Handover reports" menu item, the signed handover report is **not** shared with the tenant automatically. Use this function when the documentation is only for internal purposes and/or is not to be shared with your tenant.

### Uploading your own handover report to Immodio
In addition to the reports created in Immodio, you can also upload **your own handover reports** in PDF format and document them centrally in the tenancy.
1. Go to **"Tenancies"** in the navigation and select the tenancy you want.
2. Within the tenancy, click the **"Documents"** tab and then the **"Handover reports"** folder. You can now either drag your own handover report into the drag-and-drop field, upload an existing handover report as a photo from your gallery, or take a photo of your report with the camera.
